Bay Area pianist/vocalist Wendy DeWitt (who was part of Hank Ballard’s band) sure knows how to boogie. Teamed with nifty Norton Buffalo drummer Kirk Harwood, she delivers a rousing set of blues and boogie-woogie. DeWitt wrote eight of the 11 numbers here. They’re impressive – authentically emotive lyrics and strong, stirring melodies.
